One year down and a lifetime to go…

A slow and steady decline in PTSD symptoms as I’ve navigated the past year post March 1, 2022. I was one of the first to submit NY CVA papers on August 14, 2019. No one could have prepared me for how my amygdala was going to act out for the following 2.5 years in preparation for trial… 😅 and here I am on the other side! Whoa, it was one of the hardest things I have ever faced. I'm certain now it will not be the last, but I'm strong AF and will handle whatever the universe serves me.

With that door closed, I am aware there are others not as fortunate to have been able to come forward at the same time I did. The road is hard, has many unexpected twists and turns and it's important to stay focused on supporting those people in their journey wherever we can. Words of encouragement, finding your own truth and holding those who harmed accountable... accountable and I'll add, ill will towards any of these perps only perpetuates the hatred and hurt in which they prey.

I'm here to reflect to anyone who wants to know that it's possible to come away alive and OK, despite the outcome(s).
